5 New Restaurants and Cafes We’re Excited About in Minnesota!

Grab Thai

Minnesota’s food scene is constantly evolving, and our team is always out exploring to find the newest restaurants, cafes, and hidden gems worth checking out.

At Wassup Minnesota, we’ve spent years highlighting local businesses, discovering unique food spots, and sharing them with our growing community across the state. From neighborhood cafes to new restaurant openings, we’re always keeping an eye on what’s popping up next.

Here are five new restaurants and cafes in Minnesota that we’re excited about right now.

1. Grab Thai – Hopkins

One of the newest Thai spots in the west metro is Grab Thai, bringing fast, authentic Thai street food to Hopkins.

The concept is simple. Quick service Thai food that’s easy to grab and go, similar to a fast casual setup, but with bold authentic flavors.

They’re already getting attention for their boat noodle soups, rich Thai curries, and classic dishes like Pad Kra Pao.

If you love Thai food and want something quick but still authentic, this one should be on your radar.

Their drinks and desserts feature honey in creative ways, from specialty honey coffees and refreshers to bubble waffles topped with real honeycomb.

It’s quickly becoming a destination for anyone who loves unique cafe drinks and cozy coffee shop vibes.

Dream Chicken recently opened inside Graze Food Hall and is serving up a full lineup of fried chicken sandwiches that look seriously stacked.

The menu features seven different sandwiches, including flavors like Nashville Hot, Zesty Caesar, and even a Chicken Bánh Mì.

They also have tenders, nuggets, curly fries, waffle fries, Dream Slaw, Texas toast, and over 10 house-made sauces to mix and match.

Another exciting addition to Midtown Global Market is Pizza Luna, serving up pizza by the slice or whole pies.

They offer 10″ and 16″ pizzas, making it easy whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or sharing with friends.

Two menu items we’re especially excited about are the buffalo chicken pizza and their deluxe pizza.
